Mason Mount (born 10 January 1999), Mason made his Under-18 debut whilst still an Under-15 during the 2013-14 season and added several more to his name throughout 2014-15. A knee injury hampered the start of his scholarship but he made up for lost time upon his return in October as he scored six goals and created a team-high twelve more whilst forcing his way into the victorious 2015-16 UEFA Youth League and 2015-16 FA Youth Cup teams, scoring in the Semi Final of the former and the Final of the latter.

A Development Squad regular in 2016-17, his rise to prominence continued as he showed off his range of abilities on an even bigger stage, whilst captaining the Under-18s to their fourth FA Youth Cup title in a row. A new four-year contract was the cherry on top of another very productive season, and it yielded a first loan move to Vitesse. Having struggled to earn regular playing time until December, he exploded in the second half of the season, finishing with 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions as he drove the club back into the Europa League for the second year running. Tottenham Hotspur 1-6 Chelsea was the 17th league match of the 1997-98 season. An emphatic second half performance saw Ruud Gullit's Chelsea clinch their biggest ever win over their rivals. The Blues were only the second visiting team to score six goals at White Hart Lane and extended the club's unbeaten run against Spurs to 17 matches.

Goals from Tore André Flo and Ramon Vega had left the teams level at half-time, but Chelsea took command early in the second. Roberto Di Matteo put the Blues back in front, Dan Petrescu extended the lead with a lob over Walker, Flo's emphatic strike finished off a neat one-two with Gianfranco Zola and Mark Nicholls added a fifth before Flo completed his hat-trick in stoppage time.

George Hilsdon (10 August 1885 - 10 September 1941) was an English international centre forward who played for Chelsea between 1906 and 1912. He was nicknamed "Gatling-Gun" due to his powerful shots.

Hilsdon was the first Chelsea player to represent England, the first Chelsea player to score 100 goals for the club, and was top scorer for three consecutive seasons following his arrival in west London from West Ham United.

He also holds the club record for number of goals in one game, with six in a 9-1 win against Worksop Town in 1908. He remains Chelsea's ninth top goalscorer of all time. (more...)
