Jiří Jarošík (born 27 October 1977) is a Czech international who made 20 appearances for Chelsea during the league championship-winning 2004-05 season, mostly as a substitute, having joined in January 2005. He was signed from CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee, rumoured to be in the region of £3 million. Jarošík also won a League Cup-winners medal while at the club, having played in the 2005 League Cup Final victory against Liverpool. At the start of 2005-06 he was loaned to Birmingham City, and would eventually sign for Celtic in 2006.
