Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, known as Corinthians, is a Brazilian multisport club based in the city of São Paulo. They are on of the best-supported and successful clubs in Brazil, having won numerous state and national honours. In 2000 they won the FIFA Club World Championship Final, and in 2012 they won the Copa Libertadores, becoming champions of South America for the first time. The club was founded in 1910 by five railway workers, and is named after London-based amateur side Corinthians F.C., who were touring Brazil at the time.

Chelsea met Corinthians in the final of the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup, which the Brazilians won 1-0.
