Andy Walker was a Scottish player who appeared for Chelsea either side of the First World War, having joined from Dundee. A versatile player, he could play in midfield or attack, appearing as a half back, inside forward and centre forward for Chelsea. He was a member of the first Chelsea side to appear in an FA Cup Final, in 1915.

Chelsea career

Signed from Dundee in 1913, Walker made an immediate impact; scoring two goals on his debut, a 3-2 loss at Oldham Athletic, though they would prove to be his only goals for the club. Walker made two further appearances during the 1913-14 season, but most of his appearances for Chelsea would come in the following season, culminating in an appearance in the 1915 FA Cup Final, which Chelsea lost to Sheffield United. The final was one of the last competitive matches prior to professional football being suspended due to the First World War, during which time the majority of Walker's prime playing years would pass by. The Scot did appear for Chelsea following the end of hostilities, though he made just three more appearances for the club, during the 1919-20 season.
