Charlie joined Chelsea from Swindon Town during his Under-15 season.
Chelsea career
Charlie officially made his Under-18 debut at the end of the 2017-18 season in a match against Arsenal that saw both clubs use Under-15 squads. He made another appearance on the final day of the following season at Reading, and was a regular in defence in his first year as a scholar. He was a mainstay of the Under-18 team in 2020-21 too, frequently captaining the team, before leaving in July 2021 and signing a three-year deal with Newcastle United.
