Pre-Chelsea career
Karlo agreed to join Chelsea from NK Zagreb as a young teenager, putting pen to paper on an agreement that would become official upon turning 16.
Chelsea career
In a competitive goalkeeping department, Karlo established himself as a credible performer in his first season as a scholar, keeping 8 clean sheets in 12 matches, before becoming the regular starter in 2018-19. He led the team to the UEFA Youth League Final in 2018-19, performing penalty shootout heroics in the Semi Final, and made his senior club debut on loan at Sutton United on an emergency one-match loan.
He asserted himself as the joint first-choice for the Development Squad in 2019-20, along with Jamie Cumming, and joined the first-team on a regular basis.
