Pre-Chelsea career

Kyle joined Chelsea as an Under-10.

Chelsea career

Kyle made his Under-18 debut as an Under-16 in August 2013 and made nearly half a dozen appearances before Christmas, as well as debuting in the UEFA Youth League whilst still a 15 year-old. He had to wait until early in 2014 before he made his first start but added more of them before the end of a productive and positive season.

He kicked on very well in 2014-15 as a first year scholar, proving the centre point of the Under-18 team and using his confidence on the ball and in terms of leadership to dictate his team's play (leading to him being given the captaincy on occasion). He contributed to a double FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League success and finished the season with a very deserved place in the Under-21 team.

Influential at three age groups in 2015-16, he added more winners' medals in the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup with mature leadership displays in midfield which included three goals on the European stage, but he did unfortunately miss out on both legs of the Youth Cup Final against Manchester City. A strange end to 15-16 gave way to an equally curious beginning to the following campaign, when he spent a fortnight on trial at Dutch club Willem II with a view to a loan move, but the deal never materialised and instead he spent the season as one of the older players in the Development Squad, scoring his first goal of the season in August against Manchester United.

He was in and out of the Dev Squad a year later, spending much of the campaign training with Antonio Conte's first team squad, and was eventually rewarded with his first-team debut in a 4-0 win over Hull City in the FA Cup in February 2018. Unfortunately, that didn't lead to any further opportunities, and he headed abroad in the summer of that same year to join Dutch club Telstar on loan. He scored twice in 14 appearances before returning mid-season, and leaving Chelsea at the end of his contract.

International

Kyle has represented England at Under-16 level, the United States up to Under-20 level, and the Republic of Ireland at Under-15 level. He is also eligible to play for Italy.
