Before Chelsea
Born in Rennes in March 2004, Lesley Ugochukwu rose through Stade Rennais’s youth ranks, showcasing maturity and technical balance from an early age. He made his senior debut in April 2021, gradually winning trust and playing an influential role in Rennes’ midfield over two seasons.
Chelsea career
2023–24 Season
Ugochukwu signed for Chelsea in August 2023 on a long-term deal. He made his Premier League debut in a 1–1 draw against Liverpool soon after joining. Despite battling a thigh injury mid-season, he gained valuable exposure with 15 first-team appearances across all competitions.
Loan to Southampton
