Southern United were a short-lived London-based side who were founded around 1905 and seemingly defunct by 1908. The match against Chelsea in the 1905-06 FA Cup, the most high profile fixture in Southern's short lifetime, was most likely played at Brown's Grounds, which had also hosted cricket matches, and was later the home of amateur side Nunhead F.C.
