Stanley Maurice "Stan" Wicks (11 July 1928 – 1983) was an English centre half who played for Chelsea from 1954 until 1956, having been signed from Reading by former Royals manager Ted Drake. He was a member of Chelsea's first league title-winning side in 1954-55. His only goal for the club came late in that season; Wicks scoring against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane as the Blues closed in on the title. His last appearance came early in the 1956-57 season, as his playing career was ended prematurely due to injury. Stan Wicks died from cancer in 1983, at the age of 55.
