The Jam Tree, previously the The Nell Gwynne and Pulse/One Bar, is located on the King's Road, on the corner by Stanley Bridge over the railway. It re-opened in 2011 as a gastro pub.

From the owners:

Carrying on many of the characteristics of its Kensington counterpart, The Jam Tree features quirky interiors, mismatched furniture and Pop art. Featuring a large outdoor seating area, purpose built BBQ and a light filled bar and dining area, complete with copper topped bar and roaring fires, The Jam Tree provides a warm environment for its guests. Antique mirrors and personalised art works adorn the walls, while salvaged tables, Chesterfields and vintage chairs give the room an eclectic and original feel.

The menu features a diverse collection of Colonial favourites. Designed by The Jam Tree Group’s Executive Chef, James Browne (previously head chef at The Settle Inn, The Well and Alchemy Restaurant) the menu features Great British choices alongside expertly made dishes from the likes of Malaysia, South Africa and India. In the summer, a barbeque in the outdoor area serves a range of marinated meats, burgers and Asian and Caribbean street food. Look out for the whole lamb on the spit and Hog roasts.
